This is a cocktail that I love to make on my birthday. I’ll usually skip dessert just to save room for one… or two of these martinis. It’s incredibly decadent, perfectly sweet, and the only way to end an amazing Birthday Dinner.
*Side Note: These ingredients are very affordable. There’s no need to buy “luxurious” brand name chocolate liqueurs or expensive vodkas. This cocktail is like baking a cake; it’s all about the measurements of the basic ingredients.
2 oz vanilla vodka
3/4 crème de cacao liqueur, dark
2 oz half and half
1 1/4 oz chocolate syrup, extra for garnish
glittered sprinkles for garnish (optional)
Rim martini glass with sprinkles
Dress the inside of the glass with chocolate syrup
Fill a shaker tin about 1/4 with ice. Pour in vodka, crème de cocoa, creamer and syrup.
Shake vigorously for about 45-60 seconds. You want a cold, frothy consistency.
Strain in a martini glass. Drink up! If it’s your birthday, or just a Tuesday, and you’re not driving, make another.
