I’m a whiskey girl. Most bartender’s I’ve come across have made their way to their own go-to brand of whiskey or bourbon. I found mine in the wonderful city of Dublin, Ireland. I was fortunate enough to tour the distillery and taste this perfection from the source. Jameson is not only my go-to whiskey, it’s my go-to liquor on most days. And any bourbon or whiskey-based cocktail is always made with Jameson in my house.
This twist on a traditional, classic cocktail is simply the best tasting drink. Call me biased. But if you enjoy this recipe even half as much as I do, then it’s a win in my book. Each ingredient is key to your enjoyment. Amarena cherries can be found at liquor stores and specialty grocers.

|2 oz. Irish whiskey (Jameson is preferred because it’s the best)|
|2 sugar cubes|
|orange slice for garnish|
|Amarena cherries for garnish (maraschino cherries can be substituted if unavailable)|
Place sugar cubes in a rocks glass. Drizzle bitters over cubes (about 4-5 drops).
Add 1 cube of ice and muddle ingredients.
Fill glass with ice and add in whiskey. Stir to mix sugar and whiskey.
Top with a SPLASH of club soda, then garnish with orange and cherry.
